Do we need a local address for our Singapore company?
Yes, each Singapore company must have a local registered address in Singapore. Address service from a service provider allows you to use the address as the registered address for your company. The registered address for a Singapore company must always be an effective address for delivering documents to the company and its Directors/Shareholders.
Any change in the company's registered address must be notified to Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) of Singapore.
How does virtual phone and fax service work?
First of all, there is no phone and fax number requirement for incorporating a Singapore company. A virtual phone and fax service typically works as follows:
- Your company is assigned a dedicated phone and fax number.
- Phone calls to your company phone number will be greeted by your company's greeting and either forwarded to a number given by you or a message taken on your company's behalf.
- Usually, the forwarding number can be either a local Singapore number or an overseas number.
- Any messages taken received will be emailed to you for your further action.
- Similarly, any fax documents received will be emailed to you.
